Deliverance from Dust and Chaff

For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all sections, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. (Amos 9:9)

The sifting process is going on still. Wherever we go, we are still being winnowed and sifted. In all countries God’s people are being tried “like as corn is sifted in a sieve.” Sometimes the devil holds the sieve and tosses us up and down at a great rate, with the earnest desire to get rid of us forever. Unbelief is not slow to agitate our heart and mind with its restless fears. The world lends a willing hand at the same process and shakes us to the right and to the left with great vigor. Worst of all, the church, so largely apostate as it is, comes in to give a more furious force to the sifting process.

Well, well! Let it go on. Thus is the chaff severed from the wheat. Thus is the wheat delivered from dust and chaff. And how great is the mercy which comes to us in the text, “Yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth”! All shall be preserved that is good, true, gracious. Not one of the least of believers lose anything worth calling a loss. We shall be so kept in the sifting that it shall be a real gain to us through Christ Jesus.

தூசியிலும் பதரிலும் இருந்து விடுதலை

இதோ ஜல்லடையினால் சலித்தரிக்கிறது போல இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரை எல்லா ஜாதிக்குள்ளும் சலித்தரிக்கும்படிக்கு நான் கட்டளையிடுவேன். ஆனாலும் ஒரு கோதுமை மணியும் தரையிலே விழுவதில்லை (ஆமோ.9:9).

சலிக்கும் வேலை இன்றும் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றது. நாம் எங்கு போனாலும் புடைக்கவும் சலிக்கவும்படுகிறோம். எல்லா நாடுகளிலும் கடவுளின் மக்கள் தானியத்தை சல்லடையில் சலிப்பது போல சலித்தரிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். சில வேளைகளில் சாத்தான்சல்லடையைத் தன் கைகளிலே பிடித்து நம்மை ஒழித்துக் கட்டுவதற்காக மேலும் கீழும் தூக்கிப் போடுகிறான். நம்பிக்கையின்மையால் நம் மானிட இதயமும் அமைதியை இழந்து அச்சம் கொண்டு கலக்கமடைகிறது. உலகமும் இச் செயலுக்குக் கை கொடுத்து நம்மை ஒரு திசையிலிருந்து மறுதிசைக்கு இழுத்து இழுத்து அலைக்கழிக்கிறது. துர்அதிஷ்டவசமாக சமயக் கோட்பாடுகளுக்கு அடங்காத சபையும் சலித்தரிக்கும் செயலைத் துரிதமாக்குவதற்குக் கைகொடுக்கிறது.

நடப்பது நடக்கட்டும். இவ்விதமாகத்தான் பதரும் உமியும் கோதுமை மணியிலிருந்து பிரிக்கப்படுகின்றன.ஆனாலும் ஒரு கோதுமை மணியும் விழுவதில்லை என்னும் வசனத்தில் நமக்கு எவ்வளவு அதிகமான இரக்கம் காட்டப்படுகிறது என்று பாருங்கள். நல்லதும் உண்மையானதும் கிருபை நிறைந்ததுமான எல்லாம் பாதுகாக்கப்படும். விசுவாசிகளில் சிறியவர் கூட இழந்து போக விடமாட்டார். விசுவாசிகளில்ஒருவர் கூட எதையும் இழக்கமாட்டார். நாம் சலித்தெடுக்கப்படுவது இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலம் நமக்கு இலாபமானதாகவே இருக்கத்தக்கதாகக் காக்கப்படுவோம்.

„Aber doch siehe, ich will befehlen, und das Haus Israel unter allen Heiden sichten lassen, gleich wie man das Korn mit einem Sieb sichtet, doch soll nicht das kleinste Körnlein auf die Erde fallen.“ Amos 9, 9.

Das Sichten geht noch immer fort. Wohin wir auch gehen, wir werden geworfelt und gesichtet. In allen Ländern wird das Volk Gottes geprüft, „gleichwie man das Korn mit einem Sieb sichtet“. Zuweilen hält der Teufel das Sieb und wirft uns mit großer Geschwindigkeit auf und nieder, in dem ernstlichen Verlangen, uns auf immer los zu werden. Der Unglaube ist nicht träge darin, unser Herz und Gemüt mit seinen ruhelosen Befürchtungen hin und her zu bewegen. Die Welt leiht eine willige Hand bei demselben Verfahren und schüttelt uns rechts und links mit großer Kraft. Und, am schlimmsten von allen, die Kirche, zu so großem Teil abgefallen wie sie es ist, kommt hinzu und gibt dem sichtenden Prozess eine noch wütendere Gewalt.

Nun, nun! lasst es weiter gehen. So wird die Spreu vom Weizen gesondert. So wird der Weizen von Staub und Spreu frei. Und wie groß ist die Barmherzigkeit, die in dem Worte zu uns kommt: „doch soll nicht das kleinste Körnlein auf die Erde fallen!“ Alles soll bewahrt werden, was gut, wahr und von der Gnade herrührend ist. Nicht einer von den kleinsten Gläubigen soll verloren gehen, noch soll ein Gläubiger etwas verlieren, was wert ist, ein Verlust genannt zu werden. Wir sollen in dem Sichten so bewahrt bleiben, dass es ein wirklicher Gewinn für uns sein wird durch Christus Jesus.
