A Mountain Choir
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. (Isaiah 49:13)
So sweet are the comforts of the Lord, that not only the saints themselves may sing of them, but even the heavens and the earth may take up the song. It takes something to make a mountain sing; and yet the prophet summons quite a choir of them. Lebanon, and Sirion, and the high hills of Bashan and Moab, He would set them all singing because of Jehovah’s grace to His own Zion. May we not also make mountains of difficulty, and trial, and mystery, and labor become occasions for praise unto our God? “Break forth into singing, O mountains!”
This word of promise, that our God will have mercy upon His afflicted, has a whole peal of bells connected with it. Hear their music—”Sing!” “Be joyful!” “Break forth into singing.” The Lord would have His people happy because of His unfailing love. He would not have us sad and doubtful; He claims from us the worship of believing hearts. He cannot fail us: why should we sigh or sulk as if He would do so? Oh, for a well-tuned harp! Oh, for voices like those of the cherubim before the throne!

மலைப் பாடகர்கள்
வானங்களே கெம்பீரித்துப் பாடுங்கள் பூமியே களிகூரு .பர்வதரங்களே கெம்பீரமாய் முழங்குங்கள். கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனத்துக்கு ஆறுதல் செய்தார். சிறுமைப்பட்டிருக்கிற தம்முடையவர்கள் மேல் இரக்கமாயிருப்பார் (ஏசா.49:13).
ஆண்டவர் ஆறுதல் அளிக்கும் விதம் மிகவும் இனிமையானது. ஆகையால் அதைக்குறித்துப் பரிசுத்தவான்கள் பாடுவதோடல்லாமல் வானமும் பூமியும்கூட அவர்களோடு சேர்ந்து பாடுகின்றன. ஒரு மலையைப் பாடச் செய்வதே எளிதல்ல. ஆயினும் தீர்க்கதரிசிபல மலைகளைப் பாடச்சொல்லி அழைக்கிறார். யேகோவா தமக்குச் சொந்தமான சீயோனுக்குக் காட்டின கிருபையினால் லீபனோனும் சீயோனும் உயர்ந்தவைகளான மோவாப்பும் பாசானும் பாடும் என்கிறார். மலைபோன்ற துன்பங்கள் சோதனைகள் கடுமுயற்சி நம்மைத் துன்புறுத்தும் போதும்அவற்றைக் கடவுளைத் துதிக்கும் சந்தர்ப்பங்கள் ஆக்கலாம் அல்லவா? ஆகவே கெம்பீரமாய் முழங்குங்கள்.
கடவுள் தம்முடையவர்கள் மேல் இரக்கமாயிருப்பார் என்னும் வாக்குறுதி நம் காதுகளில் இனிமையாகத் தொனிக்கக் கூடியது. அது பாடுங்கள் களிகூரு முழங்குங்கள் என்றுஇனிமையாகப் பாட்டு இசைப்பதைக் கேளுங்கள். கடவுள் மாறாத அன்பு உள்ளவராக இருப்பதால் தம் பிள்ளைகள் மகிழ்ச்சியாய் இருப்பதையே விரும்புகின்றார். நாம் துக்கப்படுகிறவர்களாயும் சந்தேகப் படுகிறவர்களாயும் இருப்பதை அவர் விரும்புவதில்லை. நம்பிக்கையுள்ள உள்ளங்களோடுஅவரைத் தொழ வேண்டுமென்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறார். அவர் கைவிடமாட்டார். அவர் கைவிட்டு விடுவாரோ என்று நாம் ஏன் பெருமூச்சு விட்டுக்கொண்டு செயலற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்? நன்றாக மீட்டப்பட்ட கருவியுடனும் சிங்காசனத்திற்கு முன்பாடும் சேராபீன்களின் குரலோடும் நாம்பாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தால் எவ்வளவு நன்றாயிருக்கும்.

„Singet, ihr Himmel, freue dich, Erde; lobet, ihr Berge, mit Singen; denn der Herr hat sein Volk getröstet und erbarmt sich seiner Elenden.“ Jes. 49, 13.
So süß sind die Tröstungen des Herrn, dass nicht nur die Heiligen selber davon singen, sondern sogar der Himmel und die Erde in den Gesang einstimmen können. Es gehört etwas dazu, einen Berg singen zu machen; und dennoch ruft der Prophet einen ganzen Chor von ihnen auf. Libanon und Sirion und die hohen Berge von Basan und Moab, er möchte sie alle singen lassen von der Gnade Jehovahs gegen sein Zion. Können wir nicht auch Berge der Schwierigkeiten, des Leidens, der Dunkelheit und der Arbeit zu Gelegenheiten machen, um unseren Gott zu loben? „Lobet, ihr Berge, mit Singen!“
Mit diesem Wort der Verheißung, dass unser Gott sich seiner Elenden erbarmen will, ist ein ganzes Glockenspiel verbunden. Hört die Klänge: „Singet!“ „Freue dich!“ „Lobet mit Singen!“ Der Herr will, dass sein Volk sich freuen soll über seine nie endende Liebe. Er will uns nicht traurig und zweifelnd haben; Er verlangt von uns die Verehrung gläubiger Herzen. Er kann uns nicht im Stich lassen; warum sollten wir seufzen und stöhnen, als wenn Er es tun würde? O, dass wir eine wohlgestimmte Harfe hätten! O, dass wir Stimmen hätten wie die der Cherubim vor dem Thron!
