The Reach of Almighty Grace
It shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. (Hosea 1:10)
Sovereign grace can make strangers into sons, and the Lord here declares His purpose to deal thus with rebels and make them know what He has done. Beloved reader, the Lord has done this in my case; has He done the like for you? Then let us join hands and hearts in praising His adorable name.
Some of us were so decidedly ungodly that the Lord’s Word most truly said to our conscience and heart, “Ye are not my people.” In the house of God and in our own homes, when we read the Bible, this was the voice of God’s Spirit in our soul, “Ye are not my people.” Truly a sad, condemning voice it was. But now, in the same places, from the same ministry and Scripture, we hear a voice, which saith, “Ye are the sons of the living God.” Can we be grateful enough for this? Is it not wonderful? Does it not give us hope for others? Who is beyond the reach of almighty grace? How can we despair of any, since the Lord has wrought so marvelous a change in us?
He who has kept this one great promise will keep every other; wherefore, let us go forward with songs of adoration and confidence.

சர்வவல்லவரின் கிருபை
நீங்கள் என் ஜனமல்ல என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்வதற்குப் பதிலாக நீங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்படும் (ஓசி.1:10).
சர்வ வல்லவரின் கிருபை அந்நியரைப் பிள்ளைகள் ஆக்கக் கூடும். தனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகஞ்செய்தவர்களை இவ்விதம் மாற்றி, தம்முடைய மகத்தான செய்கையை அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளச் செய்வதாகஆண்டவர் இங்கு கூறுகின்றார். இதை வாசிக்கும் அன்பானவரே ஆண்டவர் எனக்கு இவ்விதம் செய்துள்ளார். உமக்கு இதைப்போல் ஏதாவது செய்துள்ளாரா? அப்படியானால் நாம் ஒன்றாய்ச் சேர்ந்து வணங்கத்தக்க அவர் நாமத்தைத் துதிப்போமாக!
நம்மில் சிலர் தெய்வபக்திஇல்லாதவர்களாய் இருந்தபடியால் கடவுளின் வார்த்தை நம் மனச்சாட்சியையும் இருதயத்தையும் நீங்கள் என் ஜனமல்ல என்று உண்மையாகவே தாக்கியுள்ளது. ஆலயத்திலும் வீட்டிலும் திருமறையை வாசித்த போது கடவுளின் ஆவி நம் ஆன்மாவிடம் நீங்கள் என் ஜனமல்ல என்று கூறியுள்ளது.உண்மையாகவே அது துக்கம் நிறைந்ததும், கண்டனம் செய்வதுமான குரலாகும். ஆனால் இப்போது அதே இடங்களில் திருமறையின் மூலமாகவும் கடவுளின் செய்தியின் மூலமாகவும் நீங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனின் பிள்ளைகள் என்னும் குரலைக் கேட்கிறோம். இதற்குத் தகுந்த விதமாக நாம்நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாய் இருக்க முடியுமா? இது ஆச்சரியமானதல்லவா? இது மற்றவர்களைப் பொறுத்த வரையிலும் நம்பிக்கை அளிக்கக் கூடியது அல்லவா? சர்வ வல்லவரின் கிருபை கிட்டாதவர்களாக யாரும் இருக்க முடியுமா? ஆண்டவர் நம்மில் இவ்வளவு ஆச்சரியமாகக் கிரியை செய்துள்ளபடியால் நான்எப்படி யாரைக்குறித்தும் நம்பிக்கை அற்றிருக்க முடியும்?
மகத்தான இந்த வாக்குறுதியை நிறைவேற்றியவர் மற்றவைகளையும் நிறைவேற்றுவார். ஆகையால் நாம் நம்பிக்கையோடு அவரைப் பின்பற்றித் துதித்துக் கொண்டு முன்னேறிச் செல்வோமாக!

„Und soll geschehen an dem Ort, da man zu ihnen gesagt hat: Ihr seid nicht mein Volk, wird man zu ihnen sagen: Ihr seid Kinder des lebendigen Gottes!“ Hos. 1, 10.
Die unumschränkte Gnade kann aus Fremden Kinder machen, und der Herr erklärt hier seine Absicht, so mit den Empörern zu verfahren und sie wissen zu lassen, was Er getan. Lieber Leser, der Herr hat dies bei mir getan; hat Er das Gleiche bei dir getan? Dann lass uns Hände und Herzen zum Lob seines anbetungswürdigen Namens vereinen.
Einige von uns waren so entschieden ungöttlich, dass das Wort des Herrn mit der größten Wahrheit zu unserem Gewissen und Herzen sprach: „Ihr seid nicht mein Volk.“ Wenn wir im Hause Gottes und in unserem eigenen Heim die Bibel lasen, war dies die Stimme des Geistes Gottes in unserer Seele: „Ihr seid nicht mein Volk.“ Gewiss, es war eine traurige, verdammende Stimme. Aber jetzt, an denselben Orten, von demselben Predigtamt und derselben Bibel hören wir eine Stimme, die sagt: „Ihr seid Kinder des lebendigen Gottes.“ Können wir dafür dankbar genug sein? Ist es nicht wunderbar? Gibt es uns nicht Hoffnung für andere? Wer ist über den Bereich allmächtiger Gnade hinaus? Wie können wir an jemand verzweifeln, da der Herr in uns eine so wunderbare Veränderung hervorgebracht hat?
Er, der diese eine große Verheißung erfüllt hat, wird auch jede andere erfüllen; lasst uns deshalb vorwärts gehen mit Liedern der Anbetung und mit Zuversicht.
