No Need to Stint
The upright shall have good things in possession. (Proverbs 28:10)
The book of Proverbs is also a book of promises. Promises ought to be proverbs among the people of God. This is a very remarkable one. We are accustomed to think of our good things as in reversion, but here we are told that we shall have them in possession. Not all the malice and cunning of our enemies can work our destruction: they shall fall into the pit which they have digged. Our inheritance is so entailed upon us that we shall not be kept out of it, nor so turned out of the way as to miss it. But what have we now? We have a quiet conscience through the precious blood of Jesus. We have the love of God set upon us beyond all change. We have power with God in prayer in all time of need. We have the providence of God to watch over us, the angels of God to minister to us, and, above all, the Spirit of God to dwell in us. In fact, all things are ours. “Whether things present or things to come: all are yours.” Jesus is ours. Yea, the divine Trinity in unity is ours. Hallelujah. Let us not pine and whine and stint and slave, since we have good things in possession. Let us live on our God and rejoice in Him all the day. Help us, 0 Holy Ghost!

கையிறுக்கம் பண்ணத்தேவையில்லை
உத்தமர்களோ நன்மையைச் சுதந்தரிப்பார்கள் (நீதி.28:10).
நீதிமொழிகளின் புத்தம் வாக்குறுதிகள் நிறைந்த புத்தகமாகும். கடவுளின் மக்களிடையே வாக்குறுதிகள் பழமொழியாய் இருக்கவேண்டும். இந்த வாக்குறுதி சிறப்பு வாய்ந்ததாகும். நல்ல காரியங்கள் வருங்காலத்தில் பெறத்தக்கதாகவுள்ள உடமைகள் என்று நினைக்கவே நாம் பழக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். ஆனால் அவை நமக்கு உரியனவாக இருக்கின்றன என்று இங்கு கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
நம் பகைவரின் வன்மமும், தந்திரமும் நம்மை அழித்துவிட முடியாது. அவர்கள் வெட்டின குழியில் அவர்களே விழுவார்கள். நம் பரம்பரை உடமை நமக்கு நீங்கா உடமையாக வழங்கப்பட்டிருப்பதால் நாம் அதை அடையாமற்பண்ணவும் தடுக்கவும் யாராலும் முடியாது.
அப்படியானால் இப்போது நம்மிடம் என்ன இருக்கிறத? இயேசுவின் விலைமதிக்கமுடியாத இரத்தத்தினால் அமைதியான நன்மை தீமை அறியும் நேர்மை உணர்வு இருக்கிறது. மாறாத தேவ அன்பு நமக்குக் காட்டப்படுகிறது. தேவையான நேரங்களில் எல்லாம் வேண்டுதலின்மூலம் கடவுளோடு உரிமைத் தகுதி இருக்கிறது. நம்மைப் பாதுகாக்க கடவுளின் அருள் இருக்கிறது. நமக்குச் சேவை செய்ய கடவுளின் தூதர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக நம்மில் கடவுளின் ஆவி நிலைத்திருக்கிறது. நிகழ் காரியங்களானாலும் வருங்காரியங்களானாலும் எல்லாம் நம்முடையவையே. இயேசு நம்முடையவர். ஆம், தூய திரியேகர் நம்முடையவர். அல்லேலூயா. நாம் நன்மையானவைகளைப் பெற்றிருப்பதால் ஏங்கவும், புலம்பவும், கையிறுக்கம்பண்ணவும், அடிமைபோல வேலைசெய்யவும் அவசியமில்லை. நாம் கடவுளில் வாழ்ந்து, நாள் முழுவதும் அவரில் மகிழ்ந்திருப்போமாக. தூய ஆவியானவரே, எங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யும்.

„Die Aufrichtigen sollen Gutes in Besitz haben.“ Spr. 28, 10.
Das Buch der Sprichwörter ist auch ein Buch der Verheißungen. Verheißungen sollten Sprichwörter unter dem Volk Gottes sein. Diese ist eine sehr merkwürdige. Wir sind gewohnt zu denken, dass wir die Anwartschaft auf Gutes haben, aber hier wird uns gesagt, dass wir es in Besitz haben sollen.
Alle Bosheit und List der Feinde kann nicht unser Verderben bewirken: sie werden in die Grube fallen, die sie gegraben haben. Unser Erbe ist als ein so unveräußerliches auf uns übertragen, dass es uns nicht vorenthalten werden kann und wir auch nicht so vom Wege abgeleitet werden können, dass wir es verfehlen.
Aber was haben wir jetzt? Wir haben ein ruhiges Gewissen durch das kostbare Blut Jesu. Wir haben die Liebe Gottes, die über allen Wechsel hinaus unser ist. Wir haben Macht bei Gott im Gebet in jeder Zeit der Not. Wir haben die Vorsehung Gottes, die über uns wacht, die Engel Gottes, die uns dienen, und vor allem, den Geist Gottes, der in uns wohnt. In der Tat, alles ist unser. „Es sei das Gegenwärtige oder das Zukünftige, alles ist euer.“ Jesus ist unser. Ja, die göttliche Dreieinigkeit in Einheit ist unser. Halleluja. Lasst uns nicht jammern und wimmern, und knausern und uns plagen, da wir Gutes in Besitz haben. Lasst uns von unserem Gott leben und uns den ganzen Tag in Ihm freuen. Hilf uns, o Heiliger Geist!
