Help Wanted
Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. (Matthew 20:7)
Yes, there is work in Christ’s vineyard for old bodies. It is the eleventh hour, and yet He will let us work. What grace is this! Surely every old man ought to jump at this invitation! After men are advanced in years nobody wants them as servants; they go from shop to shop, and employers look at their gray hairs and shake their heads. But Jesus will engage old people and give them good wages, too! This is mercy indeed. Lord, help the aged to enlist in Thy service without an hour’s delay.
But will the Lord pay wages to worn-out old men? Do not doubt it. He says He will give you what is right if you will work in His field. He will surely give you grace here and glory hereafter. He will grant present comfort and future rest; strength equal to your day and a vision of glory when the night of death comes on. All these the Lord Jesus will as freely give to the aged convert as to one who enters His service in his youth.
Let me tell this to some unsaved old man or old woman and pray the Lord to bless it for Jesus’ sake, Where can I find such persons? I will be on the lookout for them and kindly tell them the news.

உதவி தேவை
நீங்களும் திராட்சத் தோட்டத்துக்குப் போங்கள். நியாயமானபடி கூலி பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள் (மத்.20:7).
ஆம். கிறிஸ்துவின் திராட்சத் தோட்டத்தில் வயதானவர்களுக்கு வேலையுண்டு. இது பதினோராம் மணி வேளையானாலும் அவர் நமக்கு வேலை கொடுப்பார். இது எவ்வளவு பெரிய கிருபையாகும். இந்த அழைப்பைக் கேட்டு, வயதானவர் ஒவ்வொருவரும் வேலைக்குச் செல்ல ஆர்வம் காட்ட வேண்டும். வயதானவர்களை யாரும் வேலைக்கு வைத்துக்கொள்ள விரும்புவதில்லை. அவர்கள் கடைக்குக் கடை சென்றாலும் கடைக்காரர்கள் நரைத்த அவர்கள் தலைகளைக் கண்டு வேலை இல்லை என்று சொல்லிவிடுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் இயேசுவோ அவர்களை வேலைக்கு அமர்த்தி, நல்ல கூலியும் கொடுப்பார். இது கிருபையாகும். ஆண்டவரே, வயதானவர்கள் சிறிதளவுகூடத் தாமதமும் செய்யாமல் உம் வேலையில் வந்து சேரத் துணைபுரியும்.
தளர்ச்சியுற்ற முதியோருக்குக் கடவுள் கூலி கொடுப்பாரா? சந்தேகப்படாதேயுங்கள். அவர் வயலில் வேலைசெய்தால் தகுந்த கூலியை அளிப்பதாக கூறுகிறார். திட்டமாக இப்போது கிருபையும் இனிவரும் காலத்தில் மகிமையும் அவர் அளிப்பார். இப்போது ஆறுதலையும் வருங்காலத்தில் இளைப்பாறுதலையும் அளிப்பார். நாளுக்குத் தேவையான பெலனையும் மரணமாகிய இரவுவரும்போது மகிமையான காட்சியையும் அளிப்பார்.
இவற்றையெல்லாம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு வாலிபத்தில் தம் ஊழியத்தைச் செய்யத் தொடங்குபவருக்கும் வயதான பின் மனம் மாறுபவருக்கும் இலவசமாக அளிப்பார்.
இரட்சிக்கப்படாதவரும் முதியோருமான ஓர் ஆணுக்காவது பெண்ணுக்காவது நான் இதை எடுத்துச் சொல்லி, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக என் முயற்சியை ஆசீர்வதிக்குமாறு வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன். அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களை எங்கு கண்டுபிடிக்கமுடியும் ? அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களைத் தேடிப்பிடித்து, அன்புடன் இச்செய்தியைக் கூறுவேன்.

„Gehet ihr auch hin in den Weinberg; und was recht sein wird, soll euch werden.“ Mt. 20, 7.
Ja, es gibt Arbeit in Christi Weinberg für die Alten. Es ist die elfte Stunde, und dennoch will Er uns arbeiten lassen. Was für eine große Gnade ist dies! Gewiss, jeder Alte sollte diese Einladung mit Freuden ergreifen. Männer in vorgerückten Jahren will niemand als Diener haben; sie gehen von Laden zu Laden, und die Besitzer blicken auf ihre grauen Haare und schütteln das Haupt. Aber Jesus will alte Leute einstellen und ihnen guten Lohn geben! Dies ist in der Tat Erbarmen. Herr, hilf den Greisen, ohne eine Stunde Verzug in deinen Dienst zu treten.
Aber will der Herr alten, abgelebten Leuten Lohn bezahlen? Zweifelt nicht daran. Er sagt, Er will euch geben, was recht ist, wenn ihr auf seinem Felde arbeiten wollt. Er wird euch sicher Gnade hier und Herrlichkeit dort geben. Er will jetzt Trost und künftig Ruhe gewähren; Kraft, die eurem Tage angemessen ist, und einen Blick in die Herrlichkeit, wenn die Todesnacht heran kommt. Alles dieses will der Herr Jesus den im Greisenalter Bekehrten ebensowohl geben, wie dem, der in der Jugend in seinen Dienst tritt.
Ich will dies einem noch nicht erretteten alten Manne oder einer alten Frau sagen und den Herrn bitten, es um Jesu willen zu segnen. Wo kann ich solche Personen finden? Ich will mich nach ihnen umsehen, und ihnen freundlich die Botschaft mitteilen.
