Joy for the Cast-Out
Hear the Word of the Lord, ye that tremble at his guard; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. (Isaiah 66:5)
Possibly this text may not apply to one in a thousand of the readers of this little book of promises; but the Lord cheers that one in such words as these. Let us pray for all such as are cast out wrongfully from the society which they love. May the Lord appear to their joy!
The text applies to truly gracious men who tremble at the word of the Lord. These were hated of their brethren and at length cast out because of their fidelity and their holiness. This must have been very bitter to them; and all the more so because their casting out was done in the name of religion, and professedly with the view of glorifying God. How much is done for the devil in the name of God! The use of the name of Jehovah to add venom to the bite of the old serpent is an instance of his subtlety.
The appearing of the Lord for them is the hope of His persecuted people. He appears as the advocate and defender of His elect; and when He does so it means a clear deliverance for the God-fearing and shame for their oppressors. O Lord, fulfill this word to those whom men are deriding!

புறம்பே தள்ளப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி
கர்த்தருடைய வசனத்துக்கு நடுங்குகிறவர்களே, அவருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள். என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் உங்களைப் பகைத்து, உங்களை அப்புறப்படுத்துகிற உங்கள் சகோதரர் கர்த்தர் மகிமைப்படுவராக என்கிறார்களே. அவர் உங்களுக்குச் சந்தோஷம் உண்டாகும்படி காணப்படுவார். அவர்களோ வெட்கப்படுவார்கள் (ஏசா.66:5).
வாக்குறுதிகளை விளக்கும் இச் சிறு நூலை வாசிப்பவர்களில் ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவருக்குத்தான் மேற்கூறிய வாக்கியம் பொருந்துவதாகும். அந்த ஒருவரையும் ஆண்டவர் மேற்கூறிய வார்த்தையினால் மகழ்விக்கிறார். வாழும் சமூகத்திலிருந்து தவறாகப் புறம்பே தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளவர்களுக்காக நாம் வேண்டுதல் செய்வோமாக. அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைய ஆண்டவர் அவர்களுக்கு காணப்படுவாராக!
ஆண்டவருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு நடுங்கும் கருணை நிறைந்த மக்களுக்கே இந்த வசனம் பொருந்தும். அவர்கள் மெய்ப்பற்றும் தூய உள்ளமும் கொண்டவர்களாய் இருந்தபடியால் மற்றவர்களால் வெறுக்கப்பட்டுப் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டார்கள். மேலும் சமயத்தின் பேராலும் கடவுளை மகிமைப்படுத்தும் தன் பேராலும் அவர்கள் இவ்விதம் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டது அவர்களுக்கு மிகுந்த வருத்தத்தைக் கொடுத்தது. கடவுளின் பெயரால் பிசாசுக்கு ஆதரவாக எவ்வளவு செய்யப்படுகிறது என்று பாருங்கள். இவ்விதம் பழைய சர்ப்பம் கடித்து, விஷத்தையும் உள்ளே செலுத்துவதற்கு யேகோவாவின் பெயரைப் பயன்படுத்துவது அதன் மதிநுட்பத்துக்கு ஓர் எடுத்துக்காட்டாகும்.
அவ்விதம் துன்புறுத்தப்படும் ஆண்டவரின் மக்களுக்கு அவர் காணப்படுவது நம்பிக்கை ஊட்டுவதாகும். அவர் தாம் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களுக்காகப் பரிந்து பேசுகிறவராகவும் அவர்கள் ஆதரவாளராகவும் காணப்படுகிறார். இவ்விதம் அவர் செயல்படும்போது கடவுளுக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு விடுதலையும் அவர்களைத் துன்புறுத்துபவர்களுக்கு அவமானமும் எற்படுகிறது. ஆண்டவரே! மனிதர் ஏளனம் செய்கிறவர்களுக்கு இந்த வாக்குறுதியை நிறைவேற்றும்.

„Hört des Herrn Wort, die ihr zittert vor seinem Wort: „Eure Brüder, die euch hassen und stoßen euch aus um meines Namens willen, sprachen: Lasst den Herrn verherrlicht werden;“ aber Er wird erscheinen zu eurer Freude, und sie sollen zuschanden werden.“ Jes. 66, 5.
Möglicherweise lässt sich dieser Spruch nicht auf Einen unter tausend Lesern dieses kleinen Buches über die Verheißungen anwenden; aber der Herr ermutigt diesen einen in solchen Worten, wie diesem. Lasst uns für alle beten, die mit Unrecht aus der Gemeinschaft, die sie lieben, ausgestoßen sind. Möge der Herr zu ihrer Freude erscheinen!
Der Spruch bezieht sich auf wahrhaft Fromme, die vor dem Wort des Herrn zittern. Diese wurden von ihrem Brüdern gehasst und endlich um ihrer Treue und Heiligkeit ausgestoßen. Dies muss ihnen sehr bitter gewesen sein; und umso mehr, weil sie im Namen der Religion ausgestoßen wurden, und zugegebenermaßen einer Religion mit der Absicht, Gott zu verherrlichen. Wie viel wird für den Teufel im Namen Gottes getan! Es ist ein Beispiel von der List der alten Schlange, dass sie den Namen Jehovahs gebraucht, um ihren Biss giftiger zu machen.
Dass der Herr für sie erscheinen wird, ist die Hoffnung der verfolgten Kinder Gottes. Er tritt auf als der Anwalt und Verteidiger seiner Auserwählten; und wenn Er das tut, so bedeutet es eine gänzliche Befreiung der Gottesfürchtigen, und Schande für ihre Unterdrücker. O Herr, erfülle dieses Wort an denen, welche von Menschen verhöhnt werden!
