Dwelling Safely Apart
Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew, (Deuteronomy 33:28)
The more we dwell alone, the more safe shall we be. God would have His people separate from sinners, His call to them is, “Come ye out from among them.” A Christian world is such a monstrosity as the Scriptures never contemplate. A worldly Christian is spiritually diseased. Those who compromise with Christ’s enemies may be reckoned with them.
Our safety lies, not in making terms with the enemy, but in dwelling alone with our Best Friend. If we do this, we shall dwell in safety despite the sarcasms, the slanders, and the sneers of the world. We shall be safe from the baleful influence of its unbelief, its pride, its vanity, its filthiness.
God also will make us dwell in safety alone in that day when sin shall be visited on the nations by wars and famines. The Lord brought Abram from Ur of the Chaldees, but Abram stopped halfway. He had no blessing till, having set out to go to the land of Canaan, to the land of Canaan he came, He was safe alone even in the midst of foes. Lot was not safe in Sodom though in a circle of friends. Our safety is in dwelling apart with God.

பத்திரமாகத் தனித்து வாசம்பண்ணுதல்
இஸ்ரவேல் சுகமாய்த் தனித்து வாசம் பண்ணுவான். யாக்கோபின் ஊற்றானது தானியமும் திராட்சரசமுமுள்ள தேசத்திலே இருக்கும். அவருடைய வானமும் பனியைப் பெய்யும் (உபா.33:28).
நாம் எவ்வளவுக்கெவ்வளவு தனித்து வாசம் பண்ணுகிறோமோ அவ்வளவுக்கவ்வளவு பத்திரமாய் இருப்போம். தம் மக்கள் பாவிகளிடம் இருந்து தனித்து வாழவேண்டுமென்று கடவுள் விரும்புகிறார்.நீங்கள் அவர்களிடத்தில் இருந்து பிரிந்து வாருங்கள் என்றே அவர்களை அழைக்கிறார். வேதத்தில் நினைத்துக்கூடப் பார்த்திராத விதமாகக் கிறிஸ்தவ உலகம் பயங்கரமானதாய் இருக்கிறது. உலகப்பிரகாரமாக வாழும் கிறிஸ்தவன் ஆவியில் நோய் உள்ளவனாய் இருக்கிறான்.கிறிஸ்துவின் எதிரிகளோடு ஒத்துப்போகிறவர்கள் அவர்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாகவே எண்ணப்படுவார்கள்.
நாம் பகைவர்களோடு ஒத்துப்போகும் போது அல்லாமல் நம் உற்ற நண்பரோடு தனித்து இருக்கும் போதே பத்திரமாய் இருப்போம். இவ்விதம் இருந்தால் உலகம் நம்மை ஏளனம்செய்தாலும் தூற்றினாலும் நிந்தித்தாலும் நாம் பாதுகாப்பு உள்ளவர்களாய் இருப்போம். உலகத்தின் நம்பிக்கையின்மை பெருமை ஆடம்பரம் அசுத்தம் முதலியவற்றினால் ஏற்படும் தீமைபயக்கும் செல்வாக்கிற்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவர்களாயும் இருப்போம்.
பாவத்தின் பயனாகநாட்டினரிடையே யுத்தங்களும் பஞ்சமும் ஏற்படும். அந்த நாளில் தனித்துப் பத்திரமாய் இருக்க கடவுள் அருள் செய்வார்.
ஆபிரகாமை ஊர் என்னும் கல்தேயரின் நாட்டிலிருந்து பிரித்துக் கொண்டு வந்தார். ஆனால் ஆபிரகாம் பாதிவழியிலேயே தங்கி விட்டார். கானானுக்குச்செல்லவேண்டுமென்று பயணப்பட்டு கானானைச் சென்று அடையும் வரை அவர் ஓர் ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் பெறவில்லை. பின்னர் பகைவர் மத்தியிலும் கூட அவர் தனியாக பத்திரமாய் இருந்தார். லோத்து சோதோமில் நண்பர் மத்தியில் இருந்தபோதிலும் பாதுகாப்பாய் இல்லை. கடவுளோடு தனித்து வாசம்பண்ணுவதிலேயே நம் பாதுகாப்பு இருக்கிறது.

„Israel wird in Sicherheit allein wohnen; der Brunn Jakobs wird sein auf dem Lande, da Korn und Most ist, dazu sein Himmel wird mit Tau triefen.“ 5. Mose 33, 28.
Je mehr wir allein wohnen, desto sicherer sollen wir sein. Gott will sein Volk abgesondert von den Sündern haben. Sein Ruf an dasselbe ist: „Gehet aus von ihnen.“ Eine christliche Welt ist eine solche Ungeheuerlichkeit, dass die Schrift sie niemals in Betracht zieht. Ein weltlicher Christ ist geistlich krank. Die, welche mit Christi Feinden einen Vergleich schließen, mögen wohl denselben zugezählt werden.
Unsere Sicherheit liegt nicht darin, dass wir uns mit dem Feind vertragen, sondern darin, dass wir mit unserem besten Freund allein wohnen. Wenn wir dieses tun, sollen wir in Sicherheit ruhen, trotz der Sarkasmen, der Verleumdungen und des Hohnlächelns der Welt. Wir sollen sicher sein vor dem verderblichen Einfl uss ihres Unglaubens, ihres Stolzes, ihrer Eitelkeit, ihrer Unreinigkeit.
Gott wird uns in Sicherheit allein wohnen lassen auch an jenem Tage, wo die Sünde durch Kriege und Hungersnöte an den Völkern heimgesucht werden wird.
Der Herr führte Abram aus Ur in Chaldäa heraus, aber er blieb auf halbem Wege stehen. Er hatte keinen Segen, bis er, nachdem er ausgezogen war nach dem Land Kanaan, auch in das Land Kanaan hinein kam. Er war, obwohl allein, sicher, selbst inmitten der grimmigen Feinde. Lot war nicht sicher in Sodom, obwohl in einem Kreise von Freunden. Unsere Sicherheit liegt darin, dass wir abgesondert mit Gott wohnen.
