No Cause to Blush
Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed. (Isaiah 54.4)
We shall not be ashamed of our faith. Carping critics may assail the Scriptures upon which we ground our belief, but every year the Lord will make it more and more clear that in His Book there is no error, no excess, and no omission. It is no discredit to be a simple believer; the faith which looks alone to Jesus is a crown of honor on any man’s head and better than a star on his breast.
We shall not be ashamed of our hope. It shall be even as the Lord has said. We shall be fed, led, blest, and rested. Our Lord will come, and then the days of our mourning shall be ended. How we shall glory in the Lord who first gave us lively hope and then gave us that which we hoped for!
We shall not be ashamed of our love. Jesus is to us the altogether lovely, and never, never, shall we have to blush because we have yielded our hearts to Him. The sight of our glorious Well-beloved will justify the most enthusiastic attachment to Him. None will blame the martyrs for dying for Him. When the enemies of Christ are clothed with everlasting contempt, the lovers of Jesus shall find themselves honored by all holy beings, because they chose the reproach of Christ rather than the treasures of Egypt.

வெட்கப்பட அவசியமில்லை
பயப்படாதே நீ வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை (ஏசா.54:4).
நம் விசுவாசத்தைக் குறித்து நாம்வெட்கப்பட வேண்டியதில்லை. நம் விசுவாசத்துக்கு அடிப்படையான வேதத்தை வீணான தர்க்கத்தை விரும்பும் விமரிசகர்கள் தாக்கலாம். ஆனால் தம்முடைய நூலில் ஒரு பிழையாவது தேவைக்கு அதிகமாயாவது குறைவாயாவது இல்லை என்பதை ஆண்டவர் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் தெளிவாக்கிக் கொண்டேஇருக்கிறார். சாதாரண விசுவாசியாய் இருப்பது அவமானமல்ல. இயேசுவை நோக்கிப் பார்த்து அவரில் விசுவாசம் வைப்பது எந்த மனிதனுக்கும் தலைமேல் உள்ள சிறப்பு வாய்ந்த கிரீடமும் புகழில் சின்னமும் மார்பில் அணியும் எதையும் விட மேலானதும் ஆகும்.
நம் நம்பிக்கையைக்குறித்தும் நாம் வெட்கப்பட வேண்டியதில்லை. ஆண்டவர் அளித்த வாக்குறுதிப்படியே நடக்கும். நமக்குத் தேவையான உணவும் இளைப்பாறுதலும் அளிக்கப்படும். நாம் வழி நடத்தப்படுவோம். ஆசீர்வதிக்கப் படுவோம். நம் ஆண்டவர் வரும்போது நம் துக்க நாட்கள் முடிந்துவிடும். முதலாவதுஉற்சாகம் அளிக்கும் நம்பிக்கையையும் பின் நாம் நம்பினவைகளையும் அளித்த ஆண்டவரில் மகிமை கொள்வோம்.
நம் அன்பைக் குறித்து நாம் வெட்கப்பட வேண்டியதில்லை. ஏனெனில் இயேசு நமக்கு முற்றிலும் அழகானவர். அவருக்கு நம் உள்ளங்களைக் கொடுத்திருப்பதைக் குறித்துநாம் ஒருநாளும் வெட்கப்படவேண்டியதில்லை. புகழ் வாய்ந்தவரும் நமக்கு அருமையானவருமானவரைக் காண்பது நமக்கு அவரோடு உள்ள நெருங்கிய தொடர்பு நியாயமானதே என்று நிரூபிக்கும். இரத்த சாட்சிகள் அவருக்காக மரித்ததைக் குறித்து யாரும் அவர்கள் மேல் குறைகூற மாட்டார்கள்.கிறிஸ்துவின் பகைவர் நித்திய நிந்தையை அடையும் போது இயேசுவை நேசிப்பவர்கள் எகிப்திலுள்ள பொக்கிஷங்களிலும் கிறிஸ்துவின் நிமித்தம் வரும் நிந்தையை அதிக பாக்கியமென்று தெரிந்து கொண்டதனால் பரிசுத்தவான்களால் மேன்மையானவர்களாகக் கருதப்படுவதை உணர்வார்கள்.

„Fürchte dich nicht, denn du sollst nicht zuschanden werden.“ Jes. 54, 4.
Wir sollen nicht zuschanden werden mit unserem G l a u b e n . Tadelnde Kritiker mögen die Schrift angreifen, auf die wir unseren Glauben gründen, aber jedes Jahr wird der Herr es klarer machen, dass in seinem Buch kein Irrtum, kein Übermaß und keine Übergehung ist. Es ist keine Unehre, ein einfach Gläubiger zu sein; der Glaube, der allein auf Jesus sieht, ist eine Krone der Ehren auf dem Haupte jedes Mannes, und besser als ein Stern auf seiner Brust.
Wir sollen nicht zuschanden werden mit unserer H o f f n u n g . Es soll so sein, wie der Herr gesagt hat. Wir sollen geweidet, geführt, gesegnet und zur Ruhe gebracht werden. Unser Herr will kommen, und dann sollen die Tage unseres Trauerns ein Ende haben. Wie werden wir uns des Herrn rühmen, der uns zuerst die lebendige Hoffnung gab, und danach das, worauf wir hofften!
Wir sollen nicht zuschanden werden mit unserer L i e b e . Jesus ist für uns „ganz lieblich“, und niemals, niemals werden wir zu erröten haben, weil wir Ihm unser Herz hingaben. Der Anblick des glorreichen Freundes unserer Seele wird auch die begeistertste Anhänglichkeit an Ihn rechtfertigen. Niemand wird die Märtyrer tadeln, weil sie für Ihn starben. Wenn die Feinde Christi mit ewiger Verachtung bedeckt sind, werden die Liebhaber Jesu sich von allen heiligen Wesen geehrt sehen, weil sie die Schmach Christi lieber erwählten als die Schätze Ägyptens.
