Care of Our Feet

He will keep the feet of his saints. (1 Samuel 2:9)

The way is slippery and our feet are feeble, but the Lord will keep our feet. If we give ourselves up by obedient faith to be His holy ones, He will Himself be our guardian. Not only will He charge His angels to keep us, but He Himself will preserve our goings.

He will keep our feet from falling so that we do not defile our garments, wound our souls, and cause the enemy to blaspheme.

He will keep our feet from wandering so that we do not go into paths of error, or ways of folly, or courses of the world’s custom.

He will keep our feet from swelling through weariness, or blistering because of the roughness and length of the way.

He will keep our feet from wounding: our shoes shall be iron and brass so that even though we tread on the edge of the sword, or on deadly serpents, we shall not bleed or be poisoned.

He will also pluck our feet out of the net. We shall not be entangled by the deceit of our malicious and crafty foes.

With such a promise as this, let us run without weariness and walk without fear. He who keeps our feet will do it effectually.

நம் பாதங்களைக் குறித்து அக்கறை

அவர் தமது பரிசுத்தவான்களின் பாதங்களைக் காப்பார் (1.சாமு.2:9).

நம் பாதை வழுக்குவதாயிருக்கிறது.நம் பாதங்களோ தளர்ந்தவையாய் இருக்கின்றன. ஆயினும் ஆண்டவர் நம் பாதங்களைக் காப்பார். கீழ்ப்படிதலான விசுவாசத்தோடு நம்மை அவருக்குப் புனிதமானவர்களாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தால் அவரே நம் ஆதரவாளராய் இருப்பார். நம்மைக் காக்கும்படி தம்முடைய தூதர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் நம் போக்கையும் வரத்தையும் காப்பார்.

நாம் தடுக்கி விழுவதனால் நம்முடைய ஆடைகள் அழுக்காகி, ஆன்மாக்கள் காயப்பட்டு, எதிரிகள் கடவுளைப் பழிக்காதபடி நம் பாதங்களைக் காப்பார்.

நாம் தவறான பாதைகளிலும், அறிவற்றவழிகளிலும், உலகின் போக்கிலும் அலைந்து திரியாதபடி நம் பாதங்களைக் காப்பார்.

சோர்வினால் நம் பாதங்கள் வீங்கிவிடாதபடியும், பாதை நீண்டும் கரடுமுரடாயும் இருப்பதால் அவை புண்ணாகிவிடாதபடியும் அவற்றைக் காப்பார்.

நம் மிதியடி இரும்பும்வெண்கலமுமாய் இருக்கும். ஆகையால் நாம் வாளின் முனையையும் விஷப்பாம்புகளையும் மிதித்தாலும் நம் பாதங்கள் காயங்கள் அடையாதபடி காப்பார்.

நம்மைக் கெடுக்கும் நோக்கம் கொண்டவர்களான வஞ்சனையுள்ள எதிரிகள் நம்மைச் சிக்க வைத்துவிடாதபடி நம் பாதங்களை அவர்வலைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவார்.

மேற்கூறப்பட்ட வாக்குறுதி நமக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆகையால் நாம் தளர்ச்சி அடையாதபடி ஓடலாம். அச்சம் இல்லாமல் நடக்கலாம், நம்முடைய பாதங்களைக் காப்பவர் மெய்யாகவே அவற்றைக் காப்பார்.

„Er wird behüten die Füße seiner Heiligen.“ 1. Sam. 2, 9.

Der Weg ist schlüpfrig, und unsere Füße sind schwach, aber der Herr wird sie behüten. Wenn wir uns durch gehorsamen Glauben Ihm hingeben, seine Heiligen zu werden, so will Er selber unser Hüter sein. Nicht nur wird Er seinen Engeln Befehl geben, uns zu behüten, sondern Er selbst wird unsere Schritte bewahren.

Er will unsere Füße vor dem Fallen behüten, so dass wir nicht unsere Kleider beflecken, unsere Seele verwunden und dem Feind Ursache zum Lästern geben.

Er will unsere Füße vor dem Abweichen behüten, so dass wir nicht auf die Pfade des Irrtums oder die Wege der Torheit oder die Bahnen der weltlichen Sitte gehen.

Er will unsere Füße behüten vor dem Anschwellen, das von Müdigkeit herrührt und vor der Entzündung, die durch Rauheit und Länge des Weges entsteht.

Er will unsere Füße vor Verwundung behüten: unsere Schuhe sollen Eisen und Erzsein, so dass wir selbst, wenn wir auf die Spitze des Schwertes oder auf tödliche Schlangen treten, nicht bluten sollen und nicht vergiftet werden.

Er will unsere Füße auch aus dem Netz ziehen. Wir sollen nicht durch Betrug unserer boshaften und listigen Feinde verstrickt werden.

Mit einer solchen Verheißung wie dieser lasst uns laufen ohne Müdigkeit und wandeln ohne Furcht. Er, der unsre Füße behütet, wird es in Wahrheit tun.
