A Name Guarantee
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son, (John 14:13)
It is not every believer who has yet learned to pray in Christ’s name. To ask not only for His sake, but in His name, as authorized by Him, is a high order of prayer. We would not dare to ask for some things in that blessed name, for it would be a wretched profanation of it; but when the petition is so clearly right that we dare set the name of Jesus to it, then it must be granted.
Prayer is all the more sure to succeed because it is for the Father’s glory through the Son. It glorifies His truth, His faithfulness, His power, His grace, The granting of prayer, when offered in the name of Jesus, reveals the Father’s love to Him, and the honor which He has put upon Him. The glory of Jesus and of the Father are so wrapped up together that the grace which magnifies the one magnifies the other. The channel is made famous through the fullness of the fountain, and the fountain is honored through the channel by which it flows. If the answering of our prayers would dishonor our Lord, we would not pray; but since in this thing He is glorified, we will pray without ceasing in that dear name in which God and His people have a fellowship of delight.

பெயர்அளிக்கும் உத்தரவாதம்
நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே எதைக் கேட்பீர்களோ குமாரனில் பிதா மகிமைப்படும்படியாக அதைச் செய்வேன் (யோ.14:13).
கிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தில் வேண்டிக் கொள்ள வேண்டுமென்பதை எல்லா விசுவாசிகளும் இன்னும் அறிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை. அவரில் வேண்டிக்கொள்வது மட்டுமல்லாமல் அவர் கொடுத்திருக்கும் அதிகாரத்தின்படி அவர் நாமத்தினாலே வேண்டிக்கொள்வது விண்ணப்பம்செய்வதன் சிறந்த முறையாகும். சிலவற்றைப் புனிதமான அந்த நாமத்தில் வேண்டிக்கொள்ள நமக்குத் துணிவு இருக்காது. ஏனெனில் அப்படி வேண்டிக் கொள்வது அந்த நாமத்தைக் களங்கப்படுத்துவதாகும். ஆனால் நாம் இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளத் தக்க நம் வேண்டுதல்நேர்மையானதாய் இருந்தால் அது நிச்சயமாக நமக்கு அளிக்கப்பட வேண்டியதாகும்.
விண்ணப்பத்தில் குமாரனின் மூலமாகப் பிதா மகிமைப்பட வேண்டியதாய் இருப்பதால் அது நிச்சயமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும். அது அவர் உண்மையையும், நேர்மையையும், ஆற்றலையும்,கிருபையையும் மகிமைப்படுத்துகிறது. இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் ஏறெடுக்கப்படும் விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு பதில் அளிப்பது பிதாவுக்கு அவர் மேல் உள்ள அன்பையும் நன்மதிப்பையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. இயேசுவின் மகிமையும் பிதாவின் மகிமையும் ஒன்றோடொன்று இணைந்திருப்பதால் ஒன்றைப்புகழடையச் செய்யும் கிருபை மற்றொன்றையும் புகழடையச் செய்கிறது. ஊற்று நிறைந்திருப்பதால் அதிலிருந்து செல்லும் வாய்க்கால் சிறப்படைகிறது. வாய்க்காலின் மூலமாக ஊற்று சிறப்படைகிறது. நம் விண்ணப்பங்களுக்குப் பதில் அளிப்பது நம் ஆண்டவரை இகழ்ச்சிஅடையச்செய்யுமேயானால், நாம் விண்ணப்பங்களை ஏறெடுக்க மாட்டோம். ஆனால் அவற்றால் அவர் மகிமை அடைவதால் கடவுளுக்கும் அவர் மக்களுக்கும் கூட்டாக மகிழ்ச்சி அளிக்கும் அந்த அருமையான நாமத்தினாலே இடைவிடாது வேண்டுதல் செய்வோமாக!

„Und was ihr bitten werdet in meinem Namen, das will ich tun, auf dass der Vater geehrt werde in dem Sohn.“ Joh. 14, 13.
Nicht jeder Gläubige hat gelernt, in Jesu Namen zu beten. Bitten, nicht nur um seinetwillen, sondern in seinem Namen, wie von Ihm dazu ermächtigt, das ist ein Gebet höherer Ordnung. Wir würden nicht wagen, um gewisse Dinge in diesem heiligen Namen zu bitten , denn das würde eine elende Entweihung sein; aber wenn die Bitte so klar eine rechte ist, dass wir wagen können, den Namen Jesu hinzuzufügen, dann muss sie gewährt werden.
Das Gebet wird umso gewisser Erfolg haben, weil der Vater dadurch in dem Sohne geehrt wird. Es verherrlicht seine Wahrheit, seine Treue, seine Macht, seine Gnade. Die Erhörung des in Jesu Namen dargebrachten Gebetes enthält die Liebe des Vaters zu Ihm und die Ehre, die Er Ihm gegeben hat. Die Ehre Jesu und des Vaters sind so miteinander verbunden, dass die Gnade, welche die eine erhöht, auch die andere erhöht. Der Strom erlangt durch die Fülle der Quelle Ruhm und die Quelle wird geehrt durch den Strom, der aus ihr fließt. Wenn die Erhörung unserer Gebete unserem Herrn Unehre brächte, so würden wir nicht beten; aber da Er hierdurch geehrt wird, so wollen wir ohne Unterlass beten in jenem teuren Namen, an dem Gott und sein Volk gemeinsam ihre Freude haben.
